It gives me immense pleasure to recall memories of Shri N R Doraiswami whom I was fortunate to know for many years. I fondly addressed him as Anna (auditor Anna). Anna was a remarkable person He was a brilliant , loving and knowledgeable human being. He treated people of all backgrounds in an equitable manner a quality so rare . My father Shri G V Kasthuriswamy Naidu and Anna had a valuable relationship and the families had long ties. Anna’s guidance was always vital in shaping financial decisions for our family. He always advised to maintain strong fundamentals in running the textile mill which performed well. Srimati Saraswathi Amma and my mother Srimati Shenbagam were friends too they shared Many thoughts and ideas on the family traditions and rituals required by the society we live in Coimbatore. Anna was enthusiastic in Welcoming me as his neighbour which we were for many decades. I felt that my extended family was next door so caring and dependable. Often in the evenings he would drop by and spend time with us.I miss the couples’ company when I think back. The family relationship continues with the next generation too just as he would have wished. On the occasion of his Centenary celebrations I offer my Pranams at his lotus feet.
